Phil Gordon is 1 of a couple of professional poker players who retired prior to going professional. He graduated with a computer science degree in '91 from Georgia Tech. He was employed by the corporate giants Santa Cruz Operation and Lockheed. From a young age, Phil was a self-starter and knew he was going to succeed huge in business. He joined Netsys Technologies prior to them being acquired by Cisco Systems in 1996. He retired in '97 and traveled the globe. In '01, Gordon placedended up fourth in the WSOP main event which netted him four hundred thousand dollars and a spot on television. Mr. Gordon can regularly been observed hosting celebrity poker along with different poker related tv shows.

Phil Gordon pursues to do business by creating how-to videos for various subjects such as poker. Gordon aided in the layout of the Full Tilt Poker site. Even if Phil was not such a pro at the poker table, he would still have more than enough money to live like a movie star. Phil was an original Tiltboys, a group of NorCal poker players. He has authored 3 poker books titled: Poker: The Real Deal, Phil Gordon's Little Green Book: Lessons and Teachings in No Limit Hold'em. Phil is engaged in every aspect of poker and continues to have time to dedicate to raising funds for cancer research. He has as of yet to win a World Series of Poker bracelet but he is certainly on track for achieving everything he sets his mind to achieving.
